Announcement on the postponed 9th World Conference in 3D Fabrics and Their Applications

Dear Colleagues,

I hope everyone has been keeping safe and well amid the up and downs of the covid-19 pandemic during the past months.

I am writing firstly to thank those who have sent in their abstracts for the 9th World Conference in 3D Fabrics and Their Applications before the Covid-19 outbreak. As you know, we planned to have this Conference on 2 – 3 April 2020 but had to get it postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It has come to the decision that this Conference will be held on 8 and 9 April 2021, organised by TexEng Software Ltd and Northwest Composite Centre at the University of Manchester and hosted by Zhongyuan University of Technology, China. The Conference will be organised online using Zoom, while delegates from within China may go to Zhengzhou for a physical meeting.

You will receive comments on your abstracts and recommendations on full paper writing together with the paper format. Registration to the Conference will start at a later stage (fees to be readjusted).

Selected papers to the conference will be published in the Springer journal of Applied Composite Materials.

We are experiencing a very special period, but scientific and technological developments and exchange will go on. Let us work together to have a successful 9th Conference of this series to benefit us all.

Kind regards,
Professor Constantinos Soutis
Dr Xiaogang Chen
Co-Chairs of the Conference
